Below are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about admissions at VRA Schools.
Admissions are open throughout the academic year for the primary and pre‑school departments, subject to available spaces. Early applications are encouraged to secure placement before a new term. Sale of forms for the SHS Entrance Examination is advertised in the dailies and on our website; forms are typically available between February and June and the examination is usually conducted in June as per the advertisement.
VRA Schools provide a comprehensive pathway from Basic Level (Kindergarten & Primary) through Junior High School (JHS) to Senior High School (SHS).
Yes. Applicants are required to take an entrance examination and/or attend an interview. The test assesses academic ability and readiness for the class level applied for.
Yes. International students are welcome. Our admissions team assists with placement, orientation, and academic integration.
Required documents include:
- A completed application form (online)
- Copy of birth certificate or proof of age
- Recent school report(s) or transcripts
- Two passport‑sized photographs
- Any relevant certificates or awards
VRA Schools follow the Ghana Education Service (GES) curriculum. At SHS level, students are prepared for WASSCE, with part‑time options for SAT and Cambridge O’ Level programmes.
Yes. Boarding is available for both boys and girls, offering a safe, structured, and supportive environment for academic and personal growth.
Yes. Parents and guardians may visit during approved visiting hours—usually on the first Saturday of the month. Details are available on our Visiting Hours page.
Scholarships and fee support are accepted when arranged privately with organizations, groups, or individuals. Inquiries can be made through the Admissions Office.
